Questions about a DWM possible rework
DWM ser. # 9825 h or 9825 k, 9mm , 4", all matching. Has number "2" and letter "C" stamped on frame under the sideplate. Any idea as to date of maufacture...?
Has DWM eagle acceptance proof on the left side of toggle. No chamber date or chamber markings. No Crown/N proof marks anywhere. No markings on right side of gun anywhere. Also has 8.83 stamped on underside of barrel below serial number. Holster is stamped STERN & Co OFFENBACHAM 1915 with wood bottom mag and loading tool... straight winged eagle with F 3 or P 3 below eagle. Any info is appreciated....I'll try and post photos later. The alphabet commercial series started at S# 2000 i, and is almost always 7.65 cal., so this one is a military. Probably scrubbed of proofs and a chamber date for sale on the commercial market. Many military lugers were reworked in the 20's.
That's my guess, Mike C.

JMV375,
Even though you editted your post and added "or 9825 k" which falls into the alphabet commercial range, I'll still go with my first guess. Mike C.

I would bet that the swe/F or P 3, is really an E/63. It's possible that it's a repro tool, as Sarco is selling some phony E/63 marked tools. TH

After closer examination it is an E/63...eyes are getting older and needed alittle help with the magnification.
