Erfurt Lugers
Why do Erfurt Lugers not have as fine of a finish as DWM Lugers? Is there a different blueing process?

Re: Erfurt Lugers
They came out with less polished surfaces during the WAR, so it was make em fast, make em work, dont make them pretty! Even the late DWMs in 1917 and 1918 started showing evidence of quanity over quality, same thing happened in 41 & 42 on Lugers. Thor

Re: Erfurt Lugers
DWM had been in the business of selling commercial pistols for more than 10 years before Erfurt went into production. The workmen would naturally have carried this skill over into the military production.
