NEWBE - here is my 41 byf
I inherited this gun. My uncle collected guns, and after he passed away, my aunt gave it to me saying this was his prized gun. This happened over 15 years ago, and since then the gun has resided in my closet. I've pulled it out and was curious about it. I did some research about the gun here. So, I am seeking opinions on the gun. All the exterior markings match.
Does it appear to be in reasonable shape? Any estimate as to its worth? More pics to follow........ |

A very nice example indeed of a byf 41 complete rig. And I see that one of the magazines is also matching the gun. It is absolutely an example of Mauser's craftsmanship even during wartime.
You can be justifiably proud of this rig... I would estimate it's value to be at least $2100 and possibly a few hundred more... if the holster is original to the gun, and it appear so, then the holster by itself is worth several hundred dollars because it is in very nice shape... I can see why your late uncle considered this his prize... you should too. Welcome to the Lugerforum John.
