Missing in action.
With research and the help of many, I'm pretty sure the missing luger was a Portugeses Navy. Unfortunately the finish IS hard chrome per my partner in OR who Shot and handled it on numerous occaisions. But I still need to arrive at a model number. The documentaion I have gives Three different dates 1915,1921, 1925. If the weapon is indeed a Navy would ANY of these dates be accurate? And finaly I need a best guess on the value asuming the best except for the finish, which beaks my heart. The insurance co. needs something ASAP. Many thanks,

Re: Missing in action.
Jim, the only Portugese Navy that Matches your criteria (9mm, 4 inch barrel, DWM Toggle, MP left side marking) is a 1906 Republic of Portugal Navy. Now that is based on my copy of Lugers at Random, by Kenyon. I hope you can get some secondary opinions. LOL
