Default 1915 DWM Luger Serial #5007

Stamped on the front grip strap of this 1915 Luger there is the following letters and numbers:

R.J.R.99.12.K.N.4

This appears from the bottom up beginning with the "R".

Can anyone tell me what these letters and numbers mean?

Thank you.

John

Just a quick stab at it, I think it is a slighly non-standard marking for "99th Reserve Infantry Regiment, 12th Company, weapon (inventory) number 4 ".
