Help With Magazine Markings
I obtained a 1912 Erfurt with a magazine that has a 9174 on one side and then on the other side is a 51. Why the two numbers? Thanks for the help.

I would think that at one time it was given a weapon or unit number (different from the serial number)

Hi Ed, thanks for the input. I had not seen one like this and did not know if this was something a person had done later or if it was original.

Your magazine also appears to have a suffix under the number? Maybe a "c"?

Bob, yes it appears to be a cursive C. The camera shows it better than just looking at it.
