Need Holster ID Help odd Swiss?
I have photos of a holster I think is Swiss. Has NO MAKER marks on holster or on strap. Notice magazine pocket position. See link for photos.

It's certainly of the Swiss pattern, but looks too new. The ones I have from this earlier period are finished a much lighter brown, and have date of production stamps on the back. Perhaps a commercial or a reproduction?
Here's one example of a commercial Swiss:

Very cool holster! Thanks for the pics!
I know nothing about holsters (I'm a moroon) but I like the color and shape of that one. It looks almost brand new, but I imagine the Swiss take better care of their equipment.

I guess I will advertise it for sale as a "Commercial Custom" Swiss Luger Holster.
Does that sound accurate? |

I'd call it a Swiss type luger holster, well made, as new condition or excellent if it has marks from having had a gun in it.

The holster's construction shows excellent workmanship, whatever its origin.

Here is an example of a Swiss commercial holster that I have had since 1964. It came with my W+F M1906, formerly know as Md1924/06 Bern.
There are no marks indicating manufacturer or dates. Also there is no magazine pouch. |

Dick/Don/Marc -
I see the OP has this holster listed in the For Sale forum. Do you think his asking price is realistic???

In my opinion it isn't completely unrealistic. It has top quality construction that looks to be up to Swiss standards. The strap is a plus and could pass for period original. Doubt that you could get Jerry Burney to make you one that good for much less (any less?)
If you have a minty Swiss commercial Luger, this holster would make a pretty nice display accessory. Ron P.S. I have no connection to the seller and this is not an endorsement to buy, just a personal observation.
