Default Is this a Luger holster?

I keep my DWM 1917 Luger in this holster that I bought several years ago but, although the gun fits just right, I wonder if it's meant for a Luger or maybe a P38. (The ammo pouch will not take the magazine although this might be because it's "old".)

It looks similar to some of the holsters for the Astra 400/600 pistols.

Here's an Astra 600 holster.

Piece of advice. Don't keep the pistol in the holster. Regardless of being a proper Luger holster or not.

Yes. The leather can damage the finish n the gun.

Your holster could be for an early (M1900-1930 Colt, High Standard, etc) judging from the size of the mag pouch. TH
