First Luger 06/29
So I'm one of the people that bit on the Classic Firearms most recent Luger sale. I may have paid a bit much but frankly I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve (I pick it up tomorrow). This will be my first Luger and I think it will look excellent with my two K11s.
My only question (so far) - can the Swiss guns use P08 magazines? I'm trying to find the cheapest mag possible as I'd rather not use the one that comes with it very often judging by the prices I'm seeing online! |

I'd hazard a guess that it might work in a Swiss... Even if it doesn't, it'll work in your next Luger, a P08.

Welcome to the forum, Bart. Yes, they should interchange with no problem. MecGar mags are the go-to ones for shooting, to conserve an original. There are several sources for them, sort of on a fluctuating basis as shipments arrive and are sold out. You shouldn't pay more than thirty bucks for one, and they can sometimes be found in the low $20s. You can find other brands for cheaper, but performance and durability may be an issue. As a general rule of thumb, I avoid the ones that are spot-welded together along the body's sides, although I have a couple of cheapies that do OK. The better ones are folded together properly and have a single stake mark at the top of each side, which also serves as a follower stop, IIRC.

Remove the upper receiver from the frame. Close the takedown lever and look in the well behind the lever for month/year numbers. Last edited by DTR04; 06-21-2017 at 07:37 PM. Reason: Correction |

If you look at some of the factory inspection marks inside the pistol, you'll find that many component parts were made by SIG.
These are remarkable for their precision. Your pistol is one of the last made... By 1949 they had shifted to the SIG P210.
