Manufacturer for 1937 Luger Holster
Hi,
Any help would be appreciated to identify the manufacturer of my 1937 Luger holster. The Waffenamt is WaA145 and to its left is an apparent maker's mark that I cant seem to find in any reference book. Pictures attached. Thanks! Ken |

According to my reference 145 was Deutsche Lederwerkstatten. and/or Karl Barth. Bill

Hi Bill,
I saw the same thing in a reference I have but the marking on the holster doesn't appear to match the code for either one. I wonder if anyone is familiar enough with the marking for those two makers to confirm which one I have. Thanks! Ken |

Not clearly. It looks like a script L with 6 over n to the right of the L.

Karl Barth WaA145
Appears to be a Karl Barth Logo
Here's a 1937 WaA145 to compare. |

Another pic just to compare, on a pouch. This is dated 1940, and has the WaA195. WaA195 was assigned to the district of Karl Barth in 1940.

Ken,
Could you post photos of the entire holster? (front, back, and inside view). Thank you, Matt |
