1 of 500 Luger
Hello all,
Was reading my new copy of World War II mag today and saw an add for this 1 of 500 Luger $3195.00 Sooooo, I went to there web site and found it and many more for sale. I did not know if anyone has seen these yet. VERY NICE guns if not for the fact you would not shoot them. Thank you Michael http://ahfrichmond.com/

MG, these are the same guys that sold the replica SSA's, Colts, Thompsons, etc.?
A bit too much money to me, I can buy a real collectable and/or two or three Weimar Police... Ed

Interesting: The "Iron Cross" Luger on that page appears to have a modern, and inexpensive, Mec-Gar magazine.

Once again demonstrating the ubiquity of bad taste.

Yes,
I find it a bit strange to see a 'historical society' profit from pimped up guns. Looks more like the 'history destruction society' to me...What happened to conservation and preservation? |

I am a little partial to their Blue Max luger :
$ 3200 seems to buy some very nice restoration craftsmanship...IMHO... Maybe we are looking at these "pimp" guns incorrectly. If these folks are a real historical society (and they appear to be from their web site and mission statement), maybe this is their way of getting rich philantropists (spelling...?) to "donate" some money to their cause and the patron gets a nice tax write-off (if the society is a non-profit foundation), and the patron gets a little "vanity" souvenir as well... Regards, Pete... |
