National Gun Day, Louisville
Well for those that didn't attend you didn't miss much. Entrance was $12.00, parking was $6. The hall was only 2/3 full, prices were very high, and there wasn't near as large a crowd as last year. I went there to maybe pick up a luger and pick up a mosin-nagant 91/30 for plinking. To give you an idea of prices a 1937 S/42 Russian dip mismatch (side plate); $900 was the lowest he'd go. I didn't see a mosin under $300 so I left without one. I've been looking for a cheap carry and saw a Pa 63, asked the guy how much? “ $300 and I’ll even throw in two clips and a holster”. No thanks, I'll go to SOG and pay half that. Allot of the dealers weren’t there,,,,, just a disappointment for the price. It looked more a collectors rendezvous rather than a gun show.
On the plus ammo was abundant at reasonable prices, Winchester white box at $12.70 per. They even had .380 in excess. I think the better deals can be made on this board or even GB. |
