41 & 42 dated BYFs
Hello all,
I wanted to do that small BYF set up for a while. Late production Mauser P08s dated 41 & 42 with wood & bakelite grips. I will not call those bakelite gripped ones ``Black Widows `` as I did a small presentation at a local Gunshow last week stating that this term has no German connection of any sort............ So here they are ( top to bottom ): BYF 41 x block E655 Proofs, wood grips BYF 42 h block E135 Proofs, bakelite grips BYF 41 y block E655 Proofs, bakelite grips BYF 42 h block E135 Proofs, wood grips Out of the III Reich P08 Collection, those late production Mausers are some of my favorites.......... Hey Mark, super nice display!! Thanks for the nice picture. Just love those byf Lugers!!
Mark, please do me a favor and look at the bottom of the barrel of the byf 42, H-Blocks. Are the bore gage numbers missing from both? I would appreciate a private message telling me the serial numbers and whether the bore gage numbers are present!! |

The byf series are my favorite as well. I've owned two byf 42, and I'll always be glad I bought the first one...
