Tom Heller (Lugerdoc) sometimes has reproduction rear artillery sights available for sale... just place a "wanted" post in the appropriate forum below and he should see it.
Unless you find some original parts on eBay as Tom A suggests, (or maybe Gunbroker.com or Auctionarms.com), I don't know anyone else who might be able to help you. These sights are rare items. I do know that Sarco has reproduction 8" artillery barrels, but I don't think they have rear sights... check with them too. (Sarcoinc.com)

Thanks for the responses. A friend won one on ebay that was from Sarco, but it was very poor quality. I've seen Sarco's ads and their price is $175 each. Thanks again for the responses. Rich

I got a quote from a reputable dealer that has one. The price is $400 and it is an excellent repo. What do you guys think? Too much? I paid $600 for the gun with mis matched numbered parts, but the gun is really nice. Any input is appreciated. Thanks, Rich

Definitely check with Tom Heller before laying out that kind of cash for a rear sight. IMHO, I think that is way too much...

The Artillery Luger #'s are as follows:
Marked 1918 Frame 5403 Barrel 5403 Side Plate 93 Rear toggle link 85 Front toggle link 85 I found another rear sight through email and this one is priced at $350. I'm getting there, but not quite. I don't mind paying a fair price for something, but these seem a little high even if they are rare. rwc |
