Default Lucky Dog...

Switch to Jan's forum and take a look at what some poor guy in Virginia inherited from his grandfather in Switzerland...

Congrats to rimfire! Unless my eyes deceive me, the serial number on the third pistol from the left in this photo is the single digit 4

Pete, can you tell what model that is?

(Same question asked on the other board, but I would see it here first...)

John,
The only photo I see with this link is a side view of the 6 Lugers, with the numbers not visible. It is unlikely that the third pistol from the left in the top row has a single digit serial number since it is an '06 Waffenfabrik Bern, whose serial numbers started at 15216 where the former DWM contract '06s left off. I think what you are seeing is a blurred image of the Swiss Federal Cross proof on the side of the receiver.

Ron.

This is the mark I am speaking of:

I guess it could be a Swiss flag stamp, but it also looks like a "4" for those of us who are clueless about Swiss stamps...

I bow to your expertise on this matter... thanks.

George, based on the amount of email I have been receiving, I would have to concur with you
