Commercial Luger Holster?
Hello all. So today I purchased this Luger Holster that is in excellent condition overall, but has no maker’s markings, military stamps/markings, or import marks whatsoever on it. It also doesn’t have a pouch for the tool in the flap. It’s also about an inch and a half longer than the more beat up 1938 Nazi holster I have. Is this a cheap repro, a refurbished holster, or a commercial holster, maybe even for a navy? (Fat Chance, I know, but one can hope.) What’s more, the holster came with a single magazine that’s in good condition. Only marked “Made in Holland” in English. It has very pronounced lips and the base seems like it’s plastic of some kind. When I tried this magazine out later on my shooter which G.T. gave me, it gave me many problems. For one, I like to load my magazines full when I shoot, which I see many of you do not do. I have a Mec Gar which performs fine like this and even though it was ill advised, i even did it with 100 rounds in my old wood based 1920 commercial magazine without much issue. The first 2 round in this full magazine both failed to feed with the round not really leaving the magazine AND jamming the magazine so I couldn’t even eject it. We had to dig thouse rounds out gently with a pocket knife. Last six rounds fired without issue, but it failed to engage the hold open on the final shot. Does anyone know anything about either of these things? I only paid $25 so I figure I’m either out nothing or got an amazing deal.
