Be Careful...
What this seller does not state (but does show in the photos), is that there are three (3) different serial numbers on the Swiss M1929 luger :
http://www.auctionarms.com/search/di...temnum=7771318 Main serial is # 55539, but the barrel has # 59169 and the rear toggle link has # 64605. Front sight blade is not the Swiss style either... |

Pete, And the seller calls this gun "Near-Mint". It's not even close to mint in my book. I would classify it as a mis-matched shooter. I'm sure that Swiss shooters can be found for less than $2K.

Seller should go by a name of "loopy"...not "lope".
Maybe he just does not know... |

This is the Hanson & Hanson outfit out of CT. They don't handle much in the way of Lugers (and it shows).

This part of the write-up probably needs an edit as well :

I bought a holster from them and it had a couple of tears in the loops that was not mentioned in the description or shown in the pics. I informed them of the problem and got a complete refund including shipping. They were fair in the return but lacked up front.

Jerry,
I have had very similar experiences with them, and have bought a few pieces, but have learned to call first and ask them to go over the item. They seem honest, just careless and/or uninformed in their descriptons. |
