Default Swiss Banner Probe

Can someone tell/show me what a BP stamp should look like on swiss models?
Where is a good place to find all the stamps on different models?
What is a U under a crown called?

Hi Ernie,

The term is "Berner Probe".

Here is what is looks like on one of my Swiss M1929 Lugers :



Here is a chart from the Bobba book on Swiss lugers showing all the Swiss proofs :



Crown/U is probably one of the "BUG" proofs on commercial lugers.

Crown/Crown/U was a late Mauser proof in the WWII era.

You will see only "BU" on the left side of a receiver and "BUG" on the barrel (usually with "halos") :
