I just wanted to post this....
I don't say much on the LugerForum. Yea - I run it, own it, program it, keep the servers on-line, pay the bills each month so it can appear here, upgrade the servers, read the threads, help folks out getting onto the forum, add new features, and - well whatever.
But - that's not the reason for this post. The reason for this post is simply this.... I would like to welcome out newest Lifetime Supporter. That would be Jerry Burney. So since nearly a decade or more of this forums existence - we have four Lifetimers... Jerry - Jen and I are taken aback by your generosity, your support - and frankly - your caring about people, children and child slaves that not many even know or care about. You, Sir - have a star next to your name. So - Jerry - thank you.. Not only from me - but for a lot of kids who will never see a Luger. Never see this Forum. Never see a person from Kansas, or even a few folks from the USA in their village. But know you, Sir have changed their lives. From them - those children- to you, Jerry - simply again... Thank you... Jerry, once again - you have left me speechless.... My sincerest thanks for that... And a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. John Dunkle |

John, Needless to say I am somewhat surprised by such an award. Like most people who are honored... I feel I have done little or not enough or no more than the next fellow. Certainly my meager efforts have been small indeed compared to what you and Jen have done and are doing.
I do thank you for this accolade..I have been proud of only a couple awards I can think of in my life and this is a special one to be sure. Any small help on my part was because I knew it would be used in the best possible way by you and your orginazation in Haiti. God knows that if anyone in this World needs a hand up it is these children. What you are acomplishing there is worth doing. Keep up the good work and perhaps some comfort will be brought to those who do not anticipate any. I might add that there are many on the Forum who were contributors, both then and I hope in the future. I cannot list them all for fear of leaving out some but all of you know who you are. You share in this and for that I thank you. One name I can mention is Ed Tinker. He has been a major contributor to the raffles and without him it just could not have been done. He has been selfless and overly generous of both time and money. I must thank him for his part in this. A Merry Christmas to all.....and a Peacefull 2010. Jerry Burney
