Display Stand
Hi guys,
I've seen several pics where the pistol is upright on a display stand which has a wooden base and I presume an insert that slides into the mag cavity. Where can I buy these or are they home made, anyone know of any similar stands. Les |

I haven't done business with him, but a Google search found:
http://donaldevans.com/products/stands/index.html Here's another: http://www.gunstands.com/pistol.htm I believe forum members have, from time to time, posted availability of stands. I made mine at home. Marc

The prices on the ones displayed(by both sites) appear to be very reasonable. I have a pretty complete wood working work shop, and I doubt that I could make them any cheaper.

Initially they did great work. Was very pleased. However on my last order for a 6 gun Luger stand in Mahogany, they totally screwed up. Finish was rough. They did not use Mahogany. It was terrible. I complained. They responded by offering to repair or replace. I sent the stand back and received it a few weeks later with MARGINAL improvement. I gave up in disgust and have never ordered anything from them again. The stand is gathering dust in the back of a closet somewhere. Never used it. It is an embarassment to me and the Lugers it could have displayed. Sorry to publish a negative review. I rarely, if ever, have anything bad to say about people with whom I have done business. But over the last few years something really bad has happened there and their work is a shadow of the splendid work they delivered in the past. I can't recommend them. John |

+1 I could build any of those pictured but no way can I beat the price. Unfinished maybe but the finishing takes longer than the build [if you want it to look good]. IMO they are probably getting them from offshore sources.
