cleaning toggle, take down and mag catch...
anybody know how to keep the toggle, takedown and magazine catch surface from looking "rusty" after cleaning? whenever i get a new pistol and break it down for a major cleaning, these parts always end up drying with a rusty color down in the grooves. perhaps some extra oil?

Remove the rust with brake fluid.
I posted this earlier. Take regular Dot 3 or 4 and apply with a Q tip. Allow to soak in for a few minutes. Then use fine steel wool or a bronze brush to clean the grooves. Then just wipe down with Hoppies and oil.

Kroil oil penetrates and gets under the oil, it will flow into all those cracks
