Default WWI Holster with Regimental Markings

Good day to all. I recently purchased a 1915 DWM pistol in very good condition. Also included was the holster it was in. I am not knowledgeable regarding holsters though I have several Lugers 2 of which have regimental markings. This holster is so marked. I cannot make out the manufacturer of the holster but I may be seeing a 1917 on inside of flap and there is also a black stamp which I also cannot make out. What is clear is the regimental stamp of R.R.6.5.
Any thoughts as to what the stamp denotes. Thanks…Dan

I suspect that the marking is P.I.6.5. or P.B.6.5. a Pionier(combat engineer) battalion.

Sweet holster, I like the brown ones.

Thanks. Photo may not be very clear but as I look at holster it is clearly R.R.6.5.

Then it would be Reiter Regiment 6, weapon 5. A Reichswehr unit marking.

I had a Reichswehr era unit marked holster with Reiter Regt markings but it was R/R.

If the holster is regimentally marked, would the pistol have been marked too? Pistol that came with it was DWM 1915. If my guess is close on my first photo that I am seeing a 1917, would that date make sense. I realize this pistol probably was not issued with this holster.
