Default Swiss Weapons site has Luger SNs

This Swiss Weapons site has a list of dates of manufacture (by serial number) for the M1929 W+F Bern Lugers:

http://www.swisswaffen.com/?W=P0629&LP=H7

They also have a couple of great pictures of Swiss Officers shooting the new M1900 Luger:

Interesting- some not so smokeless ammo being fired.

Thanks for posting.

Yes - it looks like the pictures might have been from the field testing of the Luger versus the revolvers...

It looks like an ordinary shooting event, probably sometimes during the First World War.

Official pistols trials were not carried out somewhere out in the field.

Back when it was not verboten to be ahead of the firing line while taking photos. Something about actually trusting the shooters to point their weapons straight ahead.

Safety wasn't a big thing back then. Today is somewhat exaggerated. Go figure.
