Hi,
I have never seen the stamp. The stitching is uneven and typical of repo holsters. Aldo35 |

As George stated... it is a poorly executed FAKE. I wouldn't carry screwdrivers in it, let alone a Luger.

It is very helpful to post pictures of fake holsters like this.
Based upon characteristics, can anyone guess at it's actual origin? With the caveat that we don't want to describe the more subtle problems, I'd be up to making an FAQ on this if anyone wants to start with the list of problems that this one has: 1. Fake "inspection / maker" stamp. Manufacturers did not government inspect and mark their own goods. The acceptance stamp was separately applied by a government inspector and workers assigned to the factory. 2. The weight of the leather and shape of the holster is incorrect 3. Front flap strap sewed on at an incorrect angle 4. Stitching uneven

If you have a whole bunch of $3 bills you want to get rid of, they would be perfect for purchasing this holster.

The problems with this holster are almost too many to list, but here are a couple to get you started: The backs of the magazine pouches on authentic Third Reich holsters, unlike Imperial holsters, are part of the same piece of leather as the backs of the holsters (see photos, genuine holster pictured first). |

Secondly:
The closure straps on Third Reich military holsters are sewn on with two rows of stitches, anything different is fake (again, genuine holster first). Norm |

Also, anytime you see a square corner on the small leather bits, (i.e. the sewn top of the closure strap, the toe end of the magazine tool pouch), instead of a nicely dressed, rounded edge, your alarm should go off. These are tiny details that most fakers just don't bother with.
Another detail often missed is that the bottom stitching on the forward belt loop continues on and also attaches the pull up strap inside the holster to the holster body. |

Great information on holsters shared here! I am feeling that this thread is going to be a sticky.
