Default Erfurt p08 1917

Did all the Erfurt p08 made in 1917 have wood bottom magazines?

I thought so. I encountered one with a " matching" serial number, aluminum bottom mag.Looks "bogus" to me.

I suppose a 1917 COULD have ended up with a matching aluminum bottom if it became a Weimar or Police pistol. Do/can you show what it looks like? Does it have the serial and a # 1 or # 2? It was ORIGINALLY made and came with wooden bottoms.

But, Jerry, one must wonder if the original wood bottoms mags on this Luger 'identified' as being plastic or alum.

Does it have the serial and a # 1 or # 2 Above the serial #?

A few photos of the gun would help. In order to search for police history, we'll be looking for the sear or magazine safety and certain markings.
