Blueprints of the Luger on eBay
Hello,
On eBay is selling set of 30 inspection drawings made by the WW I German Infantry Construction Bureau with measurements on the Luger/P08/Parabellum pistol as produced 1914-1918. Every part is there, including the cleaning rod and the tool. With descriptions on material to be used, finish, etc. (in German, but a German-English glossary will be added). Drawings measure 11.7x16.5 (11 drawings) and 8.3x 11.7 (rest). Copies of the very hard to find original. Not bound, 35 pages total. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...258533457&rd=1 Regards, Sanya |

Sanya, those drawings had better not be for sale, I bought them shortly after they appeared. I've emailed the seller twice but so far have no response. The payment has been made and I'm getting suspicious. I can't get to the info since I bought them all I get is the sale confirmation page. Do they still show up for you as being for sale?

Hi,
Don't know this character but it's obvious he's selling copies of copies and not only one The auction mentions he still has 22 sets on offer. I believe Nico van Gijn once offered copies for sale as well. Could be that these are copies of his copies.... |

These might be the same drawings that John Sabato has offered for $20 each per set on a CD. I got a copy of them from Frank Rial about two years ago. They are HUGE TIF files.

I didn't notice that there were 22 sets available, so they are probably still there. I still think the seller should contact the buyer on a sale like this, still no word from him one way or the other.

Hi,
Nico confirmed these are copies of the original blueprints in his possession. A commercial set of duplicates was marketed by a German gentleman. He suspects these are copies of that commercially produced set again. So indeed a copy of a copy of a copy |

To all regarding the Luger blueprint CD. Having failed to get a response from Frank Rial after multiple attempts, I have begun to make Hi-resolution digital copies of the drawings mentioned above (they are dated 1913) so that I will not be reselling Frank Rial's work without his permission.
This is a very time consuming process since the paper copies contain some stains and stray marks that have to be digitally erased, and must actually be made in two passes due to the size of the pages and then the two images must be digitally joined to include an entire print. This CD will also contain more drawings and blueprints that have been supplied to me from several sources. I have been working on this in my "spare" time and unfortuntely I don't have much of that... I apologize for the long delay... especially to Wes who has been extremely patient, but since this is a not for profit venture, I have no choice but to use only my spare time. Those of you with an immediate need for a specific Luger blueprint can contact me via private message and we can work something out in the interim until the full set of prints can be made available.
