Luger to shoot regularly?
I recently bought my first luger(a 1938 S/42) which I have shot just a few rounds in. This was a lot of fun but based on earlier questions and responses in the forum I am thinking that buying a second one to shoot more regularly might be better so as not to damage the one I have.
What would you recommend? And where can I look for them on line? A longer barrel seems interesting for targets. I would be interested in reliablity if that is an avaialble factor and it was suggested to go more modern. Are there newer American or other lugers that might be a better fit? |

I have both a new stainless steel from AIMCO and a 1970's era Interarms Mauser from Simpsons. Both are listed under Links and Resources on the left of this page.
AIMCO can be slow in making a reply but once they do, the service is great. Both of these are higher priced than an older gun in less than ideal condition but do not have 50-100 years wear and tear on them. There are other sources but those are the two that I know of and have dealt with. Welcome to our happy little forum and keep us posted how the hunt goes. |
