I'm new here
I just wanted to say 'hello' as I just joined here the other day. I also belong to the P.38 forum, 1911 forum and the Curio & Relic forum just to mention a few.
I know next to nothing about Luger's but in the next month or so I hope to purchase one. Looking forward to learning a great deal here. |

Welcome to the LugerForum! I think you'll find that Lugers are in a class by themselves--no other gun has quite the mystique and elegance that the Luger enjoys. I only wish I'd bought my first Luger years sooner. Enjoy!

Hi Wil, Not rare, but scarce. More common than most people think. The main problem is that they don't hold much interest for P,38 collectors. Hard to sell, should you decide to.

Especially if the buyer is in the USA... the import and shipping fees would probably price the gun out of the US Market...

The particular P38 in .22lr that Wil mentioned doesn't have a lot of collector value anymore. It has been stripped of it's blueing and a modified target rear sight was fitted. It has become a shooter grade pistol.
But at the price it's being offered for it's a definite steal and a great shooter. |
