Question HOLSTER QUESTION

I recently bought a p08 holster. It is not in the greatest condition, for a couple of reasons. The first being that at one time or another someone caked the shoe polish on the holster. The other problem is that it was improperly stored so it is "flat". I got the holster cheap so if it can't be saved, I'll live. I would really hate to see the holster go to waste.

Question:
1. How could I remove the shoe polish from the stitching without ruining the linen threads?
2. Is there any way to regain "Shape" to the holster?

Any assistance would be greatly appriciated!!

USMC,

Send the holster to Jerry Burney, a member of this forum and a former comrade-in-arms, and believe what he says. He is the maestro and will treat you fairly while providing the absolute best in Luger leather work available ANYWHERE.
If you are not pleased with Jerry's work, I WILL REFUND YOUR MONEY. How's that for an endorsement?
