Hello Roland,
Was this a factory-made cut-away gun or was it done, later, by a skilled gunsmith ? Regards, Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" /> |

Pete,
did make that myself with the help of another indentical pice. The problem was to mill all the hardened parts like the slide, frame etc. I thought that it will come out very good if it is not reblued and has the original finish with all the holster wear. |

I have to ask, why would you do something like this to a P-7? I own one and consider it one of the finest small concealable autos in my collection, maybe in the world, espceially that it is in 9mm.

Glad you asked that Bob... I was wondering the same thing...
How about it Roland... why would you do this to an otherwise serviceable pistol?

Hello Schwob and John,
let me say first one sentence: living in Germany is very hard sometimes and much different than your country! believe me, I can feel with You! But in that case I had only two ways to go: destroying ore making someting to avoid that. So a cutaway was born. Anyhow, that one has more than 10.000 rounds fired. There are some parts really worn out (I know, that is not a real reason, just a attempt to explain what happened!) |

That's a hard one to swallow. I'm sorry you have to do that to a good P7 PSP. I've got a few P7's and they are by far the best handguns out there. Even at the 10,000 round mark, these handguns will still march on.
