Post C96 in movie "Joe Kidd"

I rented a DVD version of the Clint Eastwood movie "Joe Kidd" to get a close look at the use of the broomhandle. A frame by frame look at the shooting scenes looks to show the pistol (with stock) in the locked open on empty mode durring all the shooting. This is unless the action is too fast to show the movement but each frame has the bolt in the rearward position while a flash is coming out of the muzzle! I was wanting to see how the hand was held so that the action did not remove the top of said hand. Even shooting blanks would have shown that but it appears that the gun was modified. It also never ran out of ammo!

Check out the movie "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" Starring Clint Eastwood. He almost gets blasted with a C96 Mauser. Pretty good pictures of the Mauser if I recall.

Stevie.
