Post Searching the web...

I am often amazed at some of the discoveries that other forum members find on the web pertaining to Lugers. Pete Ebbink is one that comes to mind.

Recently Slashdot had a post about some of the more interesting search methods that Google provides. You can read more about it here:

http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1640925,00.asp

The article's focus is privacy. But the intersting item is Google's search by file type feature.

For example, you can search for all .pdf files containing "Luger Pistol" by typing the following in the Google search bar:

"Luger pistol" filetypedf

Pretty handy.

Another is the number range search. Try this one:

Luger Serial 0000..5000

Just thought I' share..

Great search tip Dean... thanks a lot. How about an update on the stainless Carbine?

It's slow progress with the carbine, John. My day job has me pretty busy. 60 hr weeks, & I've traveled to Canada three times this summer. Got familiy comming in this weekend. Monday will be my first free day in a long time. I'll see if I can get to the barrel then.

Wes, nice one. The Indianapolis survivor was a good read. Not to mention the Luger article.
