Thumbs up Here's to another year.

I joined the forums just alittle over a year ago. I began as a complete novice, who liked Lugers, and had owned a few over the years as shooters. Thanks to the members and experts on both Luger forums, I now have a very nice starter collection, a bazillion books, and can identify most variations by sight. And have a general knowledge of the average values of these variations.

The wealth of knowledge posted here on a daily basis is astounding.

I have had the opportunity to discuss this passion with some of the greatest people/collectors/experts in the world. I have become aquainted and made friends with fascinating and knowlegable people from all over the world. I have watched the forums improve and grow, to become the varitable encyclopedia of Luger and Axis pistol collecting.

Thanks to everyone for sharing your knowlege and friendship. And I hope I am worthy to impart this knowledge to others.

Merry Christmas!! And here's to another great year to come.

Ron

I would like to add that from the comments of new members. That this forum as well as Jan Still's forum have become the envy of all other collecting forums. We be #1

Every Year so far... (and there has been 5 of them) has been our best year ever. I predict that this one will also beat all those we have already enjoyed.

A very happy holiday season to all who visit here... I shall be kinda absent over the next week enjoying the thrills of grandfatherhood by surprising 3 of our grandchildren for Christmas... The parents know we are coming, but the little ones don't... doesn't that sound like fun!

See you all next year.

God bless you every one!

I am the ultimate novice. I too learn something every time I log on,just hope this old brain can hold onto a small part of what it has been exposed to. Thanks to everyone here for your knowledge and patience. BTW RON ,I will still keep your wife in my prayers and hope that next year brings only good things to you and yours.

David,
Thankyou! We just got back from the specialists in Portland.

He said that he had Good news and Bad news. The good news is that it is a highly curable form of cancer(99% cure rate). With just the use of radiation treatments.
He said the bad news is that she is going to lose a couple of back teeth and she will have a sore throat.
She will be cured, and won't be able to talk for awhile. Life is Good!!

Thanks to one and all for your prayers and support.

Ron

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. I will be away from the forum until 3 January enjoying some time off with my family. Make sure that you post photos of any new Lugers you get. Take care.

Sid.
