Default Jap 94 RIG

If you like this type of thing, here is a nice one, the cleaning rod is pretty rare.

Hey Mark,

Nice looking rig. That's the first time I have ever seen a type 94 holster. Is the extended portion of the mag pouch intended for the rod?

Ron

Ron,

Yes, the extended portion of the mag pouch is the location of the cleaning rod in most T-94 holsters. The leather lined holsters are mentioned in the Derby/Brown book "Japanese Military Cartrige Handguns". I had never seen one until this rig. It may have been some sort of special ordered item.
