Gunsmith to Install a 4" barrel on P08
Anybody know of a gunsmith near Rockville Maryland who can correctly intall a 4" replacement barrel??? I am a new member and new to Lugers I bouught a 1940 Code 42 matching numbers reblued P08 and would like to replace the barrel... Thanks!!

Ron,
Either Luger Doc or myself can install a new bbl for you. It is only necessary to send the complete upper unit, and that can be sent thru the mail. The BATF does not consider this part a "firearm", just the frame. Be very careful who you get to replace a Luger bbl, without the proper tools, it is very easy to warp the receiver.

Hugh does good work. I have heard that Tom "Luger Doc" is good also. Both are highly respected and honest. (Kinda) Ron
