Default Lugers on TV

The wife and I were visiting some friends this weekend. These folks are incurable murder mystery fanatics and they were watching an episode of Poirot called "Murder In Mesopotamia". Sure enough - a Luger is featured in this episode. To top it all off, it's used by one of the *good guys*!!

Default Re: Lugers on TV

I was watching "History of the Gun" just the other night. It was one of those episodes that I wished that I had my recorder on for. It was about the most expensive guns in the world. The most expensive gun was a gun that some guy was offered $5 million for and he turned it down. Instead, he donated it to a museum in New York. I was an embelleshed colt given to a Turkish sultan by Mr Colt. Lots of guns in the $2.5 million but most were embelleshed. Of the not engraved or fancied up, the 45 cal Luger ranked right up there at $900,000 to $1 million. Shattucks artillery that is an engraved artillery to Harlem Maxum from Georg Luger at $400,000 did not rate a mention.
