My "new" model 41 S&W
Bought this a couple weeks back and shot it in for the first time today.
Bearing in mind that I am at that age where I can either see the target or see the sights, but not both at once, this ain't half bad... (~7 yds) Turns out by the way, that seeing the sights produces a better result than seeing the target!

David, back in College I shot on an Army ROTC pistol team. The army target coaches came in and had us turn the targets around and told us to shoot at the center of the blank paper but concentrate on keeping the sights aligned. I would usually shoot a 90 on the slow fire target trurned backwards at the regulation 50 ft indoor. And that was when one handed was the only way to shoot a pistol. I had a model 41 then. Take yours out to 50 yards and rest it on a sandbag. Once you see what it will do, you can then work on your sight alignment. Good target, great gun.

Heinz,
Thanks. I don't have a problem with sight alignment per se however. I have a problem seeing them at all! <grin>

I had a model 41. It was a nice pistol but I rarely shot it so I sold it to get some Luger money!
