Arrow Simpson - No date

________________________________________
Recently purchased a Simson Luger with no chamber date. Serial 1661, no suffix. Proof marks on the right frame E/6, E/33, E/6 and the Weimar Army acceptance D/E. Grips numbered to the gun. Non-matching mag, serial 4014, + and S over E/6.

Blue has about 90% remaining, with excelent straw. All parts matching, with Simson proofs. Very good bore, some wear to the grips.

No unit marks or sear safety. Just an old work horse, nothing really exceptional.

This is the first Simson Luger I have ever seen and a nice addition to my collection. Resides in a black holster that has Xed out Weimar unit mark; Kdfr.G1.23. under the flap. No date or manufacturer's name. Made to carry a cleaning rod.

Hope this info is of interest.
Joe

Joe, looks like a very nice one. What is the stock lug marked? eagle 6 eagle 6 or eagle 33 eagle 33?

your magazine is 10 higher than my Simson sn 4004 and I show a sn 4014 in my database, but no name attached to it.

Great gun, and such a nice holster with it!
Thank you for sharing it with us.
