Trigger Bar Trouble
I want to remove the SMALL pin in the sear, so that I can remove the spring and clean throughly. I know I must drive the pin out, but should the spring be depressed before tapping it out? or not? Andy

Howard, I have successfully removed several of these pins with the correct size pin punch over a bench block with an appropriate sized hole under the pin... I never had one of them balk. Not sure why you had a problem.
Andy, In answer to your question, no you don't need to depress the plunger to drive out the pin.
