How would you rate this restoration?

Restored. Relined. If restoration work rated from 1 to 10, how would you rate this work? OK job? Very good job? |

Alvin,
It is nicely finished for a shooter... some soft edges from polishing, and an obvious reblue. But it looks nice enough to grace my safe... : The starting price seems reasonable,... but better someone more experienced with Navy's to comment on the value.

The photo of the interior through the open breech suggests salt blue.
The 200-meter sight mark is blued. The front edge of the trigger plate may be over-chamfered. The absence of bids speaks volumes. --Dwight |
