Lugers didn't have holdopens when I was growing up
OK, so it was when my grandpa was growing up. A luger doesn't actually need a holdopen. A guy can just remove it and still shoot and resolve the problem at his leisure.
When the gun is empty the extractor will be flush with the breechblock, but this must be verified. My grandfather was born in 1890 and grew up in Chemnitz, Saxony, Germany. |
