Spandau Luger
Finally acquired the last I needed to have all the manufacturers. Had this in a display - thought I would share it. Don't laugh; it's probably as real as most if not all Spandaus. Happy collecting!

<b*llsh*t mode on>
I am pretty sure this is a real one. All the fakes have an Erfurt crown and this crown is clearly different in style! Congratulations on finding one of the true holy grails in luger collecting <b*llsh*t mode off> |

Bill,
I believe it's the early variation, "Spamdau".

That was the strength of German engineering: One casting was used for several purposes: Gun frame, cam shaft, toilet handle, pet silencer, you name it and Spandau made it.

Isn't this the rare Blimp Captain's model. Made entirely of aluminum like the Zeppelins in order to save weight?

WOW!! It's been years since I've seen a gun totally fused together into one giant paper-weight. Congrats on that rare find.
