Good looking gun that appears totally original and unmessed with. The holster is better than average. One of the better examples I have seen for sale recently. Price is not out of line. The lanyard loop can be replaced...there are a couple of (few?) folks that can make one like the original.

A new serial number for the data base by the way!!!

I suppose that's why the Borchardt on GB has had only one bidder...[Start = $5000; Reserve Not Met]...

I could possibly afford (ha!) the 5 grand, but if he's holding a 9 or 10 grand reserve, it's not even worth making a bid...

Maybe Michael Zeleny will buy the Simpsons Borchardt...

So I thought about it for fifteen seconds. I doubt that my specimen, DWM 1774, can be upgraded in my lifetime. Not by the Loewe 900 in the next Hermann Historica, and certainly not by the current offering from the Simpsons. What I crave now is a modern replica, heat treated to withstand the recoil impulse of 7.62 Tokarev.

Interesting idea...But would Loewe's or even DWM have had 4140 or higher grade steel in those days???

Oh, I see what you mean...A new Borchardt, made with modern steel...Isn't that what TennBill2 made???

Now that is interesting...Get someone to write a CNC program to crank out replicas...

These guys do just that kind of thing...

I had one of Da Boyz over there wire-EDM me a couple of grip frame magazine wells...Came out excellent...
