My mother was raised in San Pedro during WW2. She had older sisters who worked at the aircraft plants in Long Beach. Her only brother was serving on the USS Oklahoma during the Pearl Harbor attack. He survived and just recently passed on.
I still have my moms Coca-Cola plane ID playing cards.She was in the coast watcher service.
Everybody did their bit during WW2.
