Hugo,
What is the caliber? Luger barrels cand be found in a wide range. You should measure the lenght from the chamber. Why don't you post full pictures of your gun? I only saw the inspectors mark on another topic together with an image of the bore...too little, we need more. I not even know if it is the same gun. It can be an aftermarket barrel, a WWI military, a commercial pistol from the 1920s (called Alphabet Luger) or a Third Reich Luger. An advice: the gun must be analized as a whole to make any sense, and not bit by bit. There are several experts here that are willing to share their knowledge and really can help you to know your Luger more. But you should know how to use this tool. All the best, Douglas. |

Hugo, Most 1920 commerical 7.65mm lugers have either a 95 or 98mm long barrel, due to Versailes Tready restrictions. TH

Don't worry. It is just an advice in order to have a better outcome from your research. The caliber .30 Luger and serial number indicate that it is most probably a commercial pistol made during the 1920s. Douglas. |
