For a new one, check out the Links and Resources to the left and look for the address for AIMCO in Houston, Texas. Send a fax or a letter because they do not have a website. I have one of the 6" models and like it. They are more expensive than a mix-and-match shooter so contact them and decide for yourself about the money.

I have a SS Luger among the ones I use for shooters an find them inaccurate compared to the real thing. I would rather have a 1921 thru 1929 DWM matching pistol, change a few parts, than have an SS. Most won"t agree with me, but it is my opinion.

Please weigh my opinion in the very limited knowledge and experience I have in Lugers, but for the price you will pay for a new pistol you can get a very decent origonal if you will ask these guys to help. There have been dozens of 1911-A1 copies made over the years that work great but Lugers have not economically copyable. If you want a new production consider the Mausers that were imported by interarms. Check out the Want To Buy section in the links and put a price out. Then ask here what kind of deal it is.

Just an opinion.

Check out "New Luger" section below. Last comment by Gary is relevant.

I own a 93 Mitchell Arms (made by AIMCO) it's plenty accuarate, looks cool too. Go to gunsamerica.com, scrolldown to Lugers be sure to look at all the pages. I believe you'll find listings for one stainless navy.

Tom; the thing I don"t like about mine is you can"t shoot it with a shoulder stock. It does shoot and feed everything I put in it though. Do you load for yours?

Lonnie,

Yes I load my own. I probably shouldn't post this but my AIMCO luger likes 124gr fmjrn loaded with Winchester231 at 4.6 grains. It is very accurate. It sometimes has problems extracting spent cartridges, just emailed Mr. Romo about this. AIMCO has been fantastic. After I bought the luger a couple of months ago it didn't feed anything! I contacted AIMCO, sent them the gun and Mr. ROMO fixed it. Apparently the previous owner tried to customize all the springs.
