Luger Holster marks and date question?
I have aquirred a BYF code 42 mauser in excellent condition and it has a Black hard shell holster that is waffen stamped WaA101 with the straight wing eagle over the world an a swa stika inside the world or globe. It is marked PO8 and the year 1941 and here's what I'd like a little light on. The holster has glg or gig near the date 1941; Is this the maker mark or city code, if so who is it and where was it made? This setup is a vet bring back and I cherish it very mush. All info on it woud be appreciated or tell me where I can go to get info on it would be great. Thanks

That three letter grouping is the abbreviation for the maker of the holster. Click on the heading for luger holster and repair and then do a search for a list of holster makers. Hopefully some one else will give you more specifics.
Also some reference materials have those lists of manufactors. Welcome to our world. Jack |

It is probably gfg which is Carl Hepting & Co. STGT. Fauerbach. His inspector # was WaA101. Bill
