Default My new Luger

Hello,

still new here and just purchased my first (and probably not my last) Luger. I found this one in a local Pawn Shop for what I believe is a fair price considering her age. Not in mint condition but still - after a good cleaning she turned out better than I thought. I believe this Luger is in original condition - the finish shows some speckles but overall I think she shows well. The left side of the receiver/extractor is marked with a crown over B, U, and the bottom of the barrel is proofmarked with a crown over B, U, G, the number118.35 G, and the serial # (45269). The serial # also shows in front of the frame - not stamped "Germany". One of the grips shows some bruising and maybe this can be replaced at some point in time. There is no stock lug and no hold-open, on the toggle it has the DWM marking and safety says "Gesichert" and "Geladen". After braking the pistol down I didn't find any mismatched parts except the magazine, which shows a serial # (630 d). Is there a place where I could get a period correct magazine with a wooden base and no serial #. Maybe somebody is interested in a trade?! Also interested in a period correct hoster if this is an option at all.

Here are some pics - some are somewhat dark:

nice 1908 commercial. Looks to be original finish.
outstanding. 1 of roughly 9000.
heres a link to an unmarked commercial mag although I dont know if the metal should be black or silver for that era.
thanks for sharing and if your comfortable would you mind letting us know how much it took to get her home?

Thanks! Maybe someone else knows the answer to this question. As far as the link goes - I can't see it. Please resend. I paid $900 before taxes.
