Coming on to the site, my security program said that a Trojan Hose was blocked.

Ed, I found that bypassing the main page, going directly to the discussion page, the forum is NOT BLOCKED.
I don't know why AVG just decided to initiate the block. Oh well, I'm glad the solution was this easy, thanks to a suggestion from Gerben on the P.38 Forum. I'm a happy camper again!!! |

Hi guys,
I made some changes to the opening pages in an attempt to appease the "ANTI Virus" Gods Another thing I did was take the forum out a "framed" view, as AVG though I was hiding "Cookies" there...?? Best to all..! John D. |

Mr. John D.
Every time I log onto this site I receive the following message: Internet Explorer has blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors. I have Norton Security. Thanks |

Hi Bill..!
Many thanks for the feedback - and letting me know what the configuration you are running..!! I'm still waiting to hear which link/page rhuff is having an issue with, BUT - it might be that his version of IE is pulling the old site from cache..?? Anyway - my best to you - and my thanks again! I am using Windows 8 and logging onto the main site http://www.lugerforum.com/
Am I doing something incorrectly? I am not very computer savy. It only started doing this a few days ago. It is happening in more sites than just this one. thank you |

also direct to home page http://www.lugerforum.com/ access works ok for me and all seems ok there
yep, would be good idea for anyone failing to clear there browser cache and reboot and retry and also run a security system ( norton, mcafee, etc ) manual update and see what happens next Last edited by lfid; 05-31-2013 at 06:04 PM. Reason: add last two lines text |

Hi rhuff and lfid..!!!
Lfid - many thanks for the assist! Yep, I was going to suggest that first, that Richard tries clearing his browser cache and give it another try.. BUT - as well, he's using Windows 8, so that might not be the answer (hopefully it is, though)... In Windows 8 - there is a root certificate optional update, which - if clearing your cache doesn't work, I'll have you try next... Again - my best always - and my thanks! John |

Please bear with me, as I am nearly computer illiterate.
I removed the link from my favorites list, and then used Google and typed in"Luger Forum". I clicked on the Google link and it brought me to the facepage of the Luger forum with NO notice of security certificate errors. I was thinking that maybe I was on to something......spoke too soon. I added the link/address back to my favorite list and gave it a try, and it was back just like it has been with the warning. Drat!! If I go through Google, then no problem, but if I use my Favorite list....bingo. The caution allows me entrance into the site, and I can remove the warning by clicking on "display blocked content". Does any of this make sense to you John? Sorry to be so stupid, but maybe age is a factor....Nah!! |

It certainly does make sense.... And - as it is happening on other sites for you too....
OK... If you are willing, let's try this... As you are running IE 8...
As well - it *could be* that you have some other AV program on your computer, which is still held in your browser sessions - BUT - we'll get to that in a while, OK?? Best to you! John |

Clear the cache (delete history and such, be advised that clearing cooes will mean password must be manual)
Removing a link doesn't do much, it's like a map address.
