Default Swiss Luger

Gents, can someone give me an opinion on this swiss luger please? Advertised as a 1906 7.65mm swiss luger. Is the finish on the gun original? Sorry about the pics thats all there is at the moment.

Cheers

Ben

Ben, from what I can see this one looks good.

The Swiss did quite a bit of arsenal rework, and it's very hard to verify the originality of finish on their Lugers. You can see the tonal difference in the toggle train parts finish. It could just be light angle, or it could reflect refinish work at the arsenal.

The magazine should have a wooden base without the small silver disc (which was shipped with the earlier DWM manufactured Swiss Lugers.

There are members here with a much higher level of Swiss expertise than I have, and I'll defer to their opinion.

What is the s/n?

Marc
